The Smart Qatar (TASMU) Program has developed policies and standards that will serve as the regulatory framework underpinning all smart country initiatives. From protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information, to reducing ethical risks and negative social and environmental impacts of adopting emerging technologies, TASMU developed six common policies. The polices are aligned with global best practices, international regulatory frameworks and national policies, designed to eliminate regulation barriers to ensure institutional readiness in the deployment of smart solutions and initiatives. They also provide the ICT ecosystem in Qatar with the necessary guidelines to develop meaningful, safe, and relevant experiences to the users of TASMU smart solutions and applications.
